Getting Beyond The Limiting Beliefs That Hold Us Back – Vanessa Simpkins

Vanessa Simpkins went from a 26-year-old bankrupt former bartender living in a dangerous neighborhood to living the dream of a wealthy, successful entrepreneur in just a few short years. Her passion for finding success as a solo practitioner while traveling the world started to pay off after she began earning $900 per day. However, the problem was: She was still selling mops!

After doing some thorough research and applying her newfound knowledge in marketing and the law of attraction, she quickly began to see the incredible impact that these lessons have had on her business. Now, Vanessa shares her knowledge with other entrepreneurs around the world through coaching, public speaking, as well as several books she has authored. Vanessa has helped hundreds of solo practitioners, speakers, event planners, authors, and real estate agents learn how to build on their current business model while generating more, consistent cash flow by attracting better, higher paying clients.

In this episode Vanessa walks through some exercises that will help anyone struggling to get unstuck to push beyond their current limiting beliefs. She walks through the exercises using me (Matt Wolfe) as the example. Things get fun and slightly uncomfortable. 🙂

  • Matt,

Fantastic content and intention. I definitely understand, follow and agree 100% with what you mention.

I really appreciate you to and all the things you share with us (your audience) in your blog, podcasts and emails.

    Thank you so much.

  • I loved this podcast. I totally believe in the law of attraction the way you explained it in the email. Another way of looking at the law of attraction is that you need to have dreams. If we all sit around with a woe is me attitude we will miss those subtle signs that point us on the path to achieving our dreams. We have to dream about what we want and then be open to how to get there. It’s not about putting the blinders on and just working harder. But it also doesn’t mean it will be dropped in our lap. It will take hard work to achieve those dreams. But it has to be the right work. If we are open to change, we will be shown the way to achieve those dreams. To me that is the law of attraction.

I enjoy your podcasts. I had never listened to podcasts before this. Now I’m hooked. When you first started podcasting I had a windows phone that wouldn’t play the podcasts. I upgraded to an iPhone. Now I can play them in the car and it’s great!

I think it is important to have a mix of podcasts. We need the “how to” ones but we also need the confidence to go out there and try things. This podcast is about building that confidence that you can concur the world. Affirmations are about learning to believe in yourself so you can find your way to doing things that make you happy and make you money. It takes hard work to make money. If that hard work is doing things you don’t enjoy you’ll end up stressed, bitter and sick.

I appreciate all the hard work you put into finding a great list of people to interview.

    Thank you!

  • Thanks for being so open and vulnerable, Matt. To hear you say that you wonder about the value you provide seemed almost ridiculous. If you can be insecure about the vast amount of value you provide- then my insecurities seem just like par for the course.

Vanessa is super fun and down-to-earth. We appreciate both of you for sharing so freely.
